This project will give new skills to children who are deaf and hard of hearing in Liberia. Tailoring and soap-making will be introduced as two new subjects at the School for the Deaf in Liberia, and taught to children aged 16-25yrs for the first time in this school since the war.
“It would be great to learn a vocational skill at this school, like sewing. I know I can get a good job, if I learn well at school. This school is already helping me to learn a lot and I am very grateful” (Pupil at the Deaf School, August 2007).
