NAME OF PROJECT: Feeding Centre at the School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
DURATION OF PROJECT: Started 2006
SUMMARY OF THIS PROJECT: All 100 children at the residential School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing receive three meals every day, provided by this Feeding Centre.
KEY BENEFICIARIES OF PROJECT: 100 children (6-25 years old) GOAL OF PROJECT: To provide three meals to all students, every day, at the School for the Deaf.
KEY ACTIVITIES OF THIS PROJECT ALREADY CARRIED OUT: Provide food, cooking utensils and all necessary equipment, to ensure feeding centre staff give all pupils nutritious meals, every day. Employ cooks and well qualified nutrition staff, to prepare the menu and food. Feed all children, on time, three times each day.
FUTURE PLANS ON THIS PROJECT: Measure progression of child health over time and the nutritional value of the meals.
IMPACT OF PROJECT TO DATE: All children at the School for the Deaf receive food each day.
