NAME OF PROJECT: Construction of a Health Clinic
DURATION OF FMP FUNDING: 2007 - 2008
SUMMARY OF THIS PROJECT: FMP asssited in the construction of a well-designed health clinic in the Point 4 region of Monrovia. The Clinic has 11 rooms with clean surroundings and is easily accessible to the population of Point 4 community. One of the added advantages of this clinic is that the school is located immediately next to the clinic, so the clinic provided support in health and education particularly to the children attending Point 4 School, and their families.
KEY BENEFICIARIES OF PROJECT: The population of Point 4.
GOAL OF PROJECT: “The goal of this project is to provide medical services to the community, especially for those who are not financially potent to meet their health needs, at a very minimum cost. It will also provide health information reports periodically to the Ministry of Health about the health situation of the people in the community. It will also help the Liberian Government to strengthen the health system of the country” (From the original proposal)
KEY ACTIVITIES OF THIS PROJECT: FMP assisted in the construction of the clinic building, consisting of 11 rooms. The clinic Identified 9 staff to work in the clinic. Treatment of patients at the clinic.
IMPACT OF PROJECT: In 2008 the clinic provided medical assistance to the population of Point 4
